🎶 Guzheng Rental Policy 🎶
Purpose
The portable travel-size guzheng is available for short-term rental for practice, performances, or travel. Rental is strictly limited to local pick-up in the Atlanta area. No shipping or delivery services are provided.
Rental Term
Rental charges are assessed on a full-month basis. The rental period begins on the date the instrument is picked up and continues until the instrument is returned. Any partial month shall be deemed a full month of rental and will be charged as such. All rental payments are non-refundable, and no proration or credit will be issued for early return.
Payment & Authorization
Monthly rental fees must be paid in advance and will be automatically charged each month to the credit card on file through the designated payment method (Stripe subscription or website checkout).
By completing this form and rental process, the renter authorizes Magic Eastern Music Studio to store and charge the credit card provided for monthly rental payments, as well as for any late fees, unreturned instruments, or damage charges as outlined in this policy. Payment must be received prior to the commencement of each rental term.
Security Deposit
A refundable $800 security deposit is required at the time of rental. The deposit will be refunded in full upon timely return of the instrument and all included accessories (such as stands, tuning tools, and carrying bags) in good working condition.
Deductions may be made for:
Loss or damage to the instrument or accessories
Repairs required due to misuse or neglect
Late returns beyond the agreed rental period
Condition and Maintenance
The instrument is provided in good working condition at the commencement of the rental. The renter is fully responsible for proper care, handling, and safeguarding of the instrument during the rental period. This includes storing the instrument in a stable indoor environment — avoiding direct sunlight, air conditioner vents, and maintaining humidity between 40–60% — to prevent cracking or damage.
The renter shall be liable for any loss, damage, or required repairs beyond normal wear and tear.
Return of Instrument
The instrument and all accessories must be returned in the same condition as provided, subject to ordinary wear and use. Failure to return the instrument on time may result in additional monthly rental charges. Instruments not returned within the agreed timeframe will be considered overdue, and Magic Eastern Music Studio reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for the full security deposit amount or applicable replacement costs.
